Abandoned old ships? Yes please. I looked up some history about this beautiful old gal. La Merced is a 232-foot schooner. This ship has a rich history in the petroleum field and was eventually (and purposely) moved here as a breakwater for the next door shipyard in 1966. It was listed with the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. La Merced turned 100 years old in 2017. I wonder what old tales she could tell in her travels! #lamerced #anacortes #washingtonstate #abandoned_junkies #abandoned #abandonedship
Guys, I am so happy. There is a Tulip Festival an hour outside of #seattle and it is incredible. If you are here in April, go check it out! I did not think I would get to see tulip valleys unless I went back to the Netherlands! #tulipfestival #skagitvalley #skagitvalleytulipfestival #tulipfields #tulips #myhappyplace #springflowers #dragonsinseattle
Enjoying the sunset in #queeneanne #seattle at #kerrypark. You can see #mtrainier and the #spaceneedle. Definitely worth the trip, the houses around here are beautiful to enjoy as well.
The Space Needle is undergoing renovations and does not have as good of visibility as usual. Our friend recommended we check out #skyviewobservatory at #columbiacenter. So glad we did, the views are stunning, we can see the iconic Space Needle, and #mtrainier even made an appearance today! Also, if you are on a budget, Columbia Center is way cheaper and you can go as many times as you want that day until it closes at 8 pm! #traveltips #seattle #downtownseattle #dragonsinseattle
Yesterday we went from sea level to over 6,500 feet up near #hurricaneridge in #olympicnationalpark. @paper_daedalus is always prepared and let us borrow gaitors and microspikes so that we could traipse through a few feet of snow to head to the top of a mountain peak. You can see the #pugetsound in the background as well as our friendly neighbors in #canada! #snowhiking #dragonsinseattle
I had an incredible time at #olympicnationalpark #secondbeach enjoying the sea stacks, sunset, and beach camping. #beachsunset #sunset #campinglife #westcoast #dragonsinseattle #pacificocean #unedited
Enjoying the ferry! Unfortunately no stunning Norwegian women today. #dragonsinseattle #bainbridgeferry @caleb_m_davis
I am cocooned! My friend had me try out his other sleeping bag rated for -5 degrees F. I think I will be plenty warm tonight when we sleep on the beach under the stars! #dragonsinseattle
